One of the finest ways to become acquainted with Odessa's magnificent historical, architectural and cultural heritage is featured in this fascinating full-day excursion. Start with a brief drive to Primorsky Boulevard, a beautiful wide and grand promenade, which borders the seafront for its entire length and is lined with majestic 100 year-old chestnut and plane trees. The panorama of this busy harbour city will soon unfold before you as you pause to see the city's probably most cherished monument to the Duke de Richelieu and the impressive Potemkin Staircase, of cinematographic fame, which descends dramatically 455 feet to the seafront. The parade of sights on this walking part of the tour will include many of Odessa 's most impressive buildings, squares and monuments: the City Hall, monument to Pushkin, and fabulous Odessa Opera House. Classical style building of Archeological museum, one of the oldest in Ukraine, will discover the rich history of the place.

After a short drive you will visit the two storey Uspensky Cathedral (Assumption Cathedral), the main church of Odessa and Kherson Diocese. After viewing the miraculous 16th century Kasperovskaya Icon of the Mother God, soon you will arrive to Deribasovskaya Street, the city's main shopping area. There will be some time in the City Garden to browse for local handicraft items . In a local Ukrainian style restaurant you will be treated lunch. And later on, before coming back to the ship you will visit Fine Art Museum , former Palace of Count Pototsky. Now the museum contains an impressive display of Russian icons and paintings dating back to the 15th Century placed in spacious and light halls.
