Varna 's history stretches back to 565 B.C. when Greek explorers settled its attractive shores. Romans, Byzantines and many others followed, establishing a rich culture that still thrives today. Panorama of the colourful Bulgarian Riviera, a visit to the Museum of Art and History and spectacular folk show will inspire you on this fascinating excursion. You will be whisked by your air-conditioned motor coach from the pier to the Roman Thermae, public baths dating from Roman times. Picturesquely located near the shore, they were built on an area of some 25,000 square feet during the 2nd century A.D. Next, continue with your guided visit to the Ethnographic Museum, nestled in the charming ancient area of Varna. Rejoin your motor coach and take a pleasant drive through the central downtown of this historical city past by some of its most appealing architecture and monuments to the Assumption Cathedral, built in the 1880's.
