Leaving the port, you will start with a 10-minute drive to a fascinating, Byzantine-style Alexandre Nevsky Cathedral. During a brief stop you can admire the typical Russian architecture, beautiful frescoes and the 18th-century iconostasis inside the cathedral. Then, proceed with your drive along the coast to Livadia. Located in a beatiful landscaped garden, Livadia Palace also known as the White Palace, was the summer residence of Tsar Nicholas II. In 1945, the palace provided the venue for the historic meeting of Churchill. Roosevelt, and Stalin, later to be known as the Yalta Conference. Returning to your coach you will continue driving along the famed Crimean Riviera to your lunch venue, the unusual Swallow's Nest castle. Perched on a rock and resembling a medieval castle, it was built by architect A. Sherwood in 1911. The turreted, fairy-tale structure has become the symbol of the Crimea. Enjoy a Crimean-style lunch, accompanied by classical music.

Then, head next to Alupka. Initially built as a summer mansion for Count Vorontsov, the place was the residence of Winston Churchil and the British delegates during Yalta Conference. Today, Alupka is an outstanding architectural monument and Art Museum. This grandiose palatial ensemble shows many features typical for the 16-th century English Tudor style. The Alupka museum collection boasts the furnishing and art collections from other estates. You will visit the interior and the gardens. Then, the way back to Yalta will conclude the tour that has highlighted the Best of the Crimea.
