In 1823 Count Mikhail Vorontsov commissioned English court architect Edward Blore to construct this two-faced masterpiece that was completed between 1828 and 1848. The palace is a bizarre combination of Scottish castle and Arabic fantasy amidst an exotic park complex. It houses one of the largest private collections of European art in the Crimea . Churchill stayed here during the Yalta Conference.
