The port can handle up to 500 000 t bulk cargo, 100 000 t general cargoes and up to 100 000 t grain a year. The Ferry Terminal can handle up to 7 200 heavy motor vehicles a year. The port can handle four different types of vessels simultaneously: a Ro-Ro ship, a bulk carrier (max. 3 000 dwt), a universal vessel (max. 2 000 dwt) and a tanker.
On its 6 berths port handles mainly cargo/passanger and
ferry line vessels from Turkey, as well as bulk and general cargoes scrap and timber. The port has one cargo area and six berths with the total length of 929 m.
Pilotage in the port is compulsory. To order a pilot the Shipmaster should submit his request to the Harbour Master 24 hours before the vessel approaches Djarylgachsky lighthouse. The request should be confirmed 6 hours prior to the operation.
